Meet Angie Barker, MS.Ed, LCPC, LPC
Mental Health Counselor

Angie and her husband have recently moved to the Lake of the Ozarks after living in Illinois to raise their two daughters. Since those daughters are now on their own living happy lives, it is on to the next chapter for them.
Since Angie and her husband plan to travel during the winter, she struggled with how to continue providing consistent counseling for her clients. Online counseling was her way to solve this issue by combining two things that she loves doing. Since you are reading this bio now, she must have figured out how to navigate all of those details.
A little bit about her background. As a nontraditional student, she worked full-time and raised her family while attending undergraduate and then graduate courses part-time. In addition, since her husband was in the Army reserves, she often had the responsibility of being a single parent of sorts. Due to this she recognizes the importance of taking care of yourself so that you can manage all the requirements motherhood often brings.
In her spare time, Angie enjoys walking, paddle boarding, and boating. She spends as much time as she can with her family and enjoying the Lake of the Ozarks. Her passion is her little rescue chihuahua, Gertie, who travels with her whenever she can.
